What i love about this place is that the staff are attentive. Checkin and checkout is a breeze There's a room heater. The room is comfortable as well as the bed sheets. The bathroom is also clean and they provided soap and shampoo. The breakfast starts 7am. But coffee is available at the coffee machine even before breakfast is served. They have bread, eggs, coldcuts, fruits, cereals, cheese.. and my view on the breakfast table is the Matterhorn Mountain with icy tops... Great!!!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay here! My favorite part was the dinner. We booked it ahead of time and paid 20 CHF each for a three-course meal. The food was delicious and it was a great deal! My sister eats gluten-free and they had options for her too 🙂

Breakfast is rich and plentiful. Dinner (extra) is in tremendous quality and plentiful with an unlimited supply of soup, tea and coffee. However, comparing with the dinner in our first night of stay it was a complete opposite (with basically poor quality pizza in supply only) since it was the day of Easter Friday. Further, its location is unbeatable, with Mt Matterhorn right at the doorstep. Also, it is clean and tidy.

people are nice and supportive. Mu sister lost a sunglass but they found it and keep it and give it back for her. Moreover, there was amazing Matterhorn view in the common area and we had wonderful time with breakfast and dinner in there.

It located near to the hiking trails and you might be able to see Matterhorn from the hostel if the weather was good enough. The breakfast was excellent.

Services: The receptionists are helpful and provide a lot of information. Room and equipment: I stayed in a four bed room which is spacious enough for a stay. They provide big locker in the room and also mirror and sink which is convenient. The unforgettable experience is that the room faces Matterhorn, i enjoyed the view a lot!! Public area and shower are clean, obviously they concern the cleanliness in the shower. Breakfast: The breakfast is outstanding, everything is fresh and with a lot of selection. They also provide great coffee and Caotina chocolate milk. Must try the breakfast!!

My stay at Zermatt Youth Hostel was fantastic. I stayed in a private room, although the lack of an elevator in the building was a bit inconvenient. The room was clean and cozy, but doesn't have the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. One of the highlights was the delicious included breakfast, which provided a great start to the day. The building where breakfast is served has a stunning view of the Matterhorn. Since I had a heavy suitcase, I took an e-taxi from the train station, which cost 17 CHF each way. Walking the same direction would take about 15 minutes per way. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring Zermatt. There’s also a luggage storage area for those who want to keep exploring after checkout, which was very convenient. For small items, you'd need a 2 CHF coin as a deposit. I highly recommend this hostel for travelers looking for a comfortable stay with great amenities.

I like the room with the view of the Matterhorn. Unfortunately when I went there, it was raining and I wasn't able to see it fully 😔
